Sgt. Frederick Thomas Netz II, (USMC) 53, passed away on September 10, 2017. He was born Asmara, Eritrea, Ethiopia and served in the US Marine Corp, was a dedicated police officer for 5yrs before movin on to work for AT&T for the last 19 years. Ricky was a dedicated and faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School Teacher played acoustic guitar on the praise band, and was an ordained minister who performed several weddings. Mr. Netz is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Roxanne Netz; mother, Carmelina Netz; 2 sons: Thomas Paul Hendry and Kevin Andrew Frus and his wife, Shay; 2 daughters: Rebecca Joy Netz and her husband, William Havlinek and Patricia Diane Leilani Arnold and her husband, Jerry Lynn Arnold, Jr.; 2 sisters: Carmen Diletta Gandy and her husband, Mark and Annette Janine Steele and her husband Jeffrey; 10 grandchildren: Ender, Colt, Chole, Emily, Frederick Thomas "Eric" Netz III, Dominic, Andrew, Elijah, Petra and Asher; nieces and nephews: Summer Hyers and her husband, Paul, Capri Gandy, Remington S. Steele and his wife, Emily, Joshua Zimmer, Shannon Townsend, Tricia Anderson, Kyle Anderson and Tabitha Guernsey and her husband, Sunny; sister-in-law, Penny Case and her husband, Jeff; and a host of extended family and friends. A celebration of Ricky's life will be held 3 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 7673 Collins Road, Jacksonville, FL 32244 with military honors.
